West Ham United starlet Hogan Ephraim has joined Queens Park Rangers
on a one month loan deal.

The 19 year-old, who joined the Hammers as a trainee in July 2004,
will go straight into the squad for the R's opening day showdown with
Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

Gaffer John Gregory expressed his delight at the move, telling
www.qpr.co.uk: "Hogan is technically a very gifted player and he has
the versatility to play on the right or the left of midfield - or even
up-front.

"He's got very quick feet and is able to be very creative with the
ball at his feet.''

A product of the Hammers Academy system, Ephraim was sent out on loan
to Colchester United to gain some much-needed first team experience
last season.

The pacy attacker made 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring
once, against Barnsley.

Gregory added: "Hogan established himself in the England Under-19's
alongside Michael Mancienne and we've managed to beat off strenuous
attempts from both Crystal Palace and Colchester United, who each
wanted to take him on loan.

"Mick Harford knows Hogan well from their time at Colchester, as does
Chris Barker. Michael also knows him, of course, and all three of them
played a big part in helping us get him on board.''

Ephraim will wear the number 25 shirt.
