He made such an impressive start for the Rs. He's scored six goals this season in 18 starts and has looked genuinely threatening when he gets the ball. His height and pace combined will surely make him a target man for years to come.
But, after all the hoo-ha about his new contract, we've seen little of Ray since. John Gregory at first chose to play only one up front (with Dexter Blackstock being the natural choice), and more recently he has been selecting Marc Nygaard, Paul Furlong and Shabazz Baidoo above Ray.
Maybe Gregory doesn't want to spoil Ray by playing him in a relegation dogfight.
Whatever the reason, I hope we see a lot more of Ray next season. And I hope its in a blue & white hooped shirt...
